This page is all about recycling!
Recycling is a HUGE part of environmental sustainability. It is the most common and well known form of environmental sustainability.
This video helps explain a little bit of what recycling is all about.
Recycling by definition is to convert (waste) into reusable material and to use again. It is very similar to reducing and reusing but not quite the same.
Recycling may seem like a pretty obvious thing, but there are a lot of much less obvious ways to recycle as well.
Here are some ways to recycle:
- Recycle materials such as pop cans and paper through curb-side recycling programs
- Turn soda liters into planter for flower and herbs
- Use recyclable materials to make paper mache products
- Donate your old clothes
- Find a recycling center for technology including
- Batteries
- Laptops
- Cell Phones
- And more
It is also important to know what things you can and can’t recycle. If we recycle the wrong things, its just as bad as not recycling at all!
